Getting here has been a bit of an ordeal!
They missed their flight by ten minutes due to customs delays!
Anxious messages flying (unlike the team:( ) between organisers and our stars.
Finally boarded, but... but... but what! Some of their bikes re-emerged from the plane hold and were taken away in a truck!!!
Panic!!!!!!!!!!!
Then they were notified that all their gear - there was a pile of it - was going on another plane because their plane was full... over full in fact.
Another level of anxiety. Lost bikes? Maybe late bikes!!! Broken bikes?
The entire reason for coming was for the team to race bikes! You can't win your airfare home without a bike!
As it turned out, their bikes were racing them... and in fact arrived in Tasmania before the team. Take a breath.
If they can travel for days to be here, the least we can do is take a drive to welcome them. Be there. It will be a blast:)
