We knew there would be fireworks... then there were fireworks before the fireworks and more fireworks after the fireworks!

There was a lot going on at Burnie.

We held our breath while Byron attempted to make history in the thousand. He was already part of history when the handicapper put him off 30 metres behind scratch. Could he make more history getting to the front before the finish line.? Well 'no', but he wasn't far away and it was awesome to watch. Glad I was there. Maybe next year BD.

Local, Logan James picked up his second Gift.

Darcy Miller won her first 'mile' here at Burnie after years on the hunt.

World Champion Tree Feller Daniel Gurr grabbed an another sash.

Graeme Frislie edged out Shoi Matsuza and Marshall Erwood to pick up his 300th wheelrace -  not the actual number, but who would know? It's a lot!

Lots more. You might find some of these photos a reminder.
